Duduzile Mzindle

Dr Duduzile Mzindle holds a position as the Head of School in the School of Education, Faculty of Arts and Design at the Durban University of Technology in Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa.

She has 28 years experience in Teacher Education which dates back to the then Colleges of Education. When the Colleges of Education closed down in 1999, she was absorbed at the Department of Education in the Governance Unit as Governance Co-ordinator in the Pietermaritzburg Region.

Dr Mzindle is currently responsible for under-graduate and post-graduate programmes in the School of Education, namely: BEd, BEd [Hons in Technology], MEd, DEd. The School of Education at the Durban University of Technology is growing and is in the process of developing new programmes which will be introduced in the near future which includes eg. Advance Diploma in TVT [Technical and Vocational Education and Training], PGCE [Post Graduate Certificate in Higher Education].

Dr Mzindle’s research focus is in Teacher Development, Work Integrated Learning and the New Curriculum Framework. She has published papers on those research foci.
Dr Mzindle has interest in Skills and Life Orientation which are informed by her Doctoral Studies.
