    It is with great pleasure and excitement that I warmly welcome you to the website of the School of Education. Ours is the largest School in the College of Humanities at the University of KwaZulu-Natal and we are proud of our excellence in the academic trinity.

    In line with the academic structure which the University of KwaZulu-Natal adopted in 2012, the School of Education is made up of the following six clusters:

    Available & Offered Courses by the School

    B Ed (Foundation Phase)

    KN-E-BFP
    [48-28 APS] NSC Deg with Engl HL/FAL 4 and any other official SA lang HL/FAL 4 and LO 4 and and a Minimum rating of 4 (50-59%) in Mathematical Literacy or a rating of 3 (40-49%) in Mathematics
    Edgewood Campus

    B Ed (Intermediate Phase)

    KN-E-BIS
    [48-28 APS] NSC Deg with Engl HL/FAL 4 and LO 4 and level 5 in two of: Maths, Maths Lit, Info Tech, Elec Tech, Mech Tech, Comp App Tech, Agric Tech, Civil Tech, Elect Tech, Eng Graph & Des or any other NSC subjects – the NS-TECH stream student can have Math or Math Lit at level 5 and the Math stream requires pure Math at level 5

    B Ed (Senior Phase/ Further Education & Training)

    KN-E-FET
    [48-30 APS] NSC Deg with Engl HL/FAL 4 and LO 4 and level 5 in any other 2 NSC subjects relevant to the package selected (Senior/ FET packages current offered are: Accounting FET, Computer Science FET, Drama FET, English FET, History FET, Information Systems FET, IsiZulu FET, Life Sciences FET, Life Orientation FET, Mathematics FET, Physical Sciences)
