How does this module fit into your overall programme design?

This module is designed for first year students to assist in developing their capacity as critical citizens alongside their academic skills. For new students in each academic year, only in the College of Humanities. This module needs to run with small numbers of students who can be accommodated in small discussion groups. The module complements existing modules within the range of programmes offered in the College of Humanities.

Which School and Discipline 'owns' the module i.e. receives the fees and subsidy?

Subsidy will be allocated to Schools on the basis of primary qualifications that the students are enrolled for. All the Schools in the College of Humanities therefore own the module.

Howard, Edgewood and Pietermaritzburg. The module is offered in semester 1 and 2.
