Various models for professional development are designed and implemented across the world. In our learning and sharing about various models we can explore possibilities for enhancing the models that we use.
Biography of Presenter: Dr hab. Beata Pituła, prof. PŚ
A graduate of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology at the University of Silesia, Beata Pituńa holds a PhD in Humanities in the field of Pedagogy and Pedeutology, and a Habilitation in Social Sciences in the field of Pedagogy and Pedeutology. She is the author of 18 scientific monographs (including 4 co-authors and 9 scientific editors) and more than a hundred articles in the field of pedagogy, especially on the issues of teacher training and professional functioning of teachers, as well as on the problems of pedagogical counselling in the broad sense.
From 1990 to 2016 she worked at the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology of the University of Silesia, where she was the Head of the Department of General Didactics and Pedeutology and the Head of the Third Level Studies. In 2016-2019 she was the Director of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Foreign Languages at the Silesian University of Technology, and in 2019-2022 she was the Director of the Institute of Educational and Communication Research. She is a member of many scientific boards of Polish and foreign scientific journals.
She closely cooperates with universities in Poland and abroad (e.g. Austria, Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Spain).
