Welcome to the Thematic Group: Science & Technology Science Education.
Science & Technology Education (STE) is part of the University of KwaZulu-Natal under the School of Education. Our school is made up of three main disciplines namely, Life Science Education. Physical Science Education and Technology Education and offers modules in Initial Teacher Education, Continuing Education, and Postgraduate programmes.
Our strategic vision and mission emphasizes the intellectual, educational and cultural development of the region and globally in its concerns around Life Sciences, Physical Science Education and Technology Education in general, ICT education, IKS & AIDS research, and Curriculum issues. The staff are committed to democratic values and social justice, and to responding to the development challenges of STE in South Africa.
