World Water Day

  • World Water Day, on 22 March every year, is about focusing attention on the importance of water. The theme for World Water Day 2018 is ‘Nature for Water’ – exploring nature-based solutions to the water challenges we face in the 21st century.
  • Damaged ecosystems affect the quantity and quality of water available for human consumption. Therefore, an action is quickly needed as a solution to address this problem.
  • What we did as the Edgewood Environmental Forum was to make a cloth “Celebrating World Day” whereby the members of the organisation together with members of the School of Education made pledges about the actions and awareness that needs to be taken in order to address the issue of Water being wasted and not saved. Games were also played in order to facilitate this campaign.
